Excel Math Common Core Teacher Editions

Download sample pages from the Common Core Excel Math Teacher Editions here. Click on the links on the right to see samples from each grade level.

Excel Math helps you build a solid mathematics foundation where your students will demonstrate proficiency in higher-level thinking skills as they are tested before and during implementation of Common Core State Standards (CCS). Take a look at the CCS lessons and activities we are building into our program. Download a list of Common Core Buzzwords and see how they are used with Excel Math. Here are some highlights:

Common Core (CCS) objectives for each lesson include expanded objectives and CCS lesson plans in the Teacher Editions.

CCS activities & manipulatives in your Teacher Edition give students hands-on Common Core learning opportunities and mathematical practices.

Test Tables in each Teacher Edition show which concept is being taught by each test question and the lesson number where that concept was taught, in case review is needed. Quarterly test tables also show CCS correlations for each test question.

Excel Math Gives Your Students More

With Excel Math, students learn higher-order thinking skills beyond what is required of CCS. Our correlations allow you to focus on the standards or go even further, with additional concepts we provide.

Many educators have asked us to keep the additional concepts that help students progress beyond the CCS. In fact, some states now require these concepts. If you want to use CCS concepts exclusively, you will be able to skip the additional lessons and use alternative CCS activities provided in our Fall release of Teacher Editions. We've made it easy—you decide what works best for you and your students.

Common Core Lesson Updates

Since 2012 we've been adding Common Core Lesson pages to expand on those concepts already included in your Teacher Edition, Student Sheets and Projectable CD. Click here for our Tools for Teachers and these new lesson pages (available for download as PDF files). Excel Math will continue to deliver the outstanding results you've come to expect.

Common Core Vocabulary

CCSS vocabulary words and phrases will be available in each Teacher Edition throughout the curriculum, and our outstanding Vocabulary lists will also be available online as they are completed (go to www.excelmath.com/downloads/Glossary.html).  The Excel Math reproducible CCSS Glossaries will be important tools for teachers, students and parents.
